While each client receives personalized treatment plans, we’ve developed three programs to ensure clients get the treatment they need. More than 12,000 people have overdosed from drugs throughout the Phoenix area since they started tracking overdose cases in 2017. Homelessness is a never-ending issue in our community caused by poverty, broken family relationships and multiple circumstances. Harbor House Review was founded to give recovering  men a chance at real sobriety and a family setting. Harbor House Review is a short distance  to many of the best 12 step meetings and al-anon  clubs.

Substance Abuse Programs in Phoenix

In the Phoenix-metro area (Maricopa County) some 245,000 people are struggling with substance abuse disorder. While Arizona does not have the highest incidence of addiction based on its population, it falls in the middle of the pack compared to the 50 U.S. states. Harbor House Review’s mission is to break the cycle of domestic violence by providing safe refuge and supportive services that educate and empower those impacted by domestic violence. Harbor House Review will advocate social change that protects and engenders a person’s right to live a life free of abuse. Initially, many parents and family members of the over 120 people Harbor House Review supports were, too. Their children had aged out of Hampton Roads’ special education system, and were ready for adult services and support.

WHY HOUSE OF HOPE?

Following inpatient treatment, aka healing of the mind, clients typically continue into some form of ongoing, outpatient treatment. This may include Sober Living, intensive outpatient treatment, regular therapy, and more. Harbor House Review is a Residential Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Treatment Program serving adult women and individuals who are pregnant, with an infant or postpartum. Eventually I want to open my own treatment program for people affected by HIV/substance abuse. I would also like to chair meetings at N.A., which is something I started doing at Harbor House Review before my stroke. Some Phoenicians are considered “functioning alcoholics” and continue to work and raise families while struggling. Because of this, The Harbor House Review has developed a unique program that allows you to continue working while receiving treatment. From a private room, access to electronics, and a modified schedule, clients are able to find recovery while continuing their outside obligations.

Upon starting treatment, we will work directly with your insurance company to ensure your policy is being processed correctly. Harbor House Review is dedicated to making sure every individual affected by domestic violence can find refuge and freedom. Harbor House Review Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization, provides services to adults with developmental disabilities exclusively in their own homes or apartments — regardless of how complex their disabilities may be.

We reserve up to 4 beds for individuals who are pregnant or with infants (clients care for their own child while enrolled).

We can also accommodate virtual family visitation and therapy to ensure you get the most out of your time with us. This safety net provides a needed landing place for those running out of options. Due to the physical changes your body undergoes after using drugs or alcohol many have to complete some form of detox before they can continue in treatment. This step allows the body to physically heal and remove toxins in a controlled, supervised environment. Alcohol detox and opioid detox are critical to your health, as withdrawal symptoms from both substances can be fatal. For over 30 years, we have delivered specialized SUD treatment along with mental health services in our residential treatment program. We are licensed by the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and are a certified Drug Medi-Cal program.

We develop individualized plans to identify and address any barriers that may be getting in the way of living independently. At The Harbor House Review, we ensure those traveling in for treatment are taken care of. Our car service will pick you up from the airport and transport you to detox or directly to our facility as determined by your personalized treatment plan. From there, our case managers will connect you with local organizations and programs to continue your treatment once you return home.
